Clinical Applications
- Vitamin B12 is essential for protein and DNA synthesis, which affects the growth and repair of all cells*
- B12, alone or in combination with other B vitamins (especially folic acid), is important in the regulation of homocysteine levels*
Description
Provides 3000 mcg per lozenge of adenosylcobalamin, also known as dibencozide, which is the active form of vitamin B12 used by the mitochondria, the energy powerhouse in each cell.*
Regular vitamin B12, or cyanocobalamin, must be absorbed and then converted by the body to an active form for use. Individuals with reduced stomach acid, certain genetic variations, and vegetarians and vegans are at increased risk of inadequate absorption or utilization of vitamin b12 and may benefit from supplementation.*
Directions
As a dietary supplement, adults place 1 lozenge daily under tongue 30 seconds before swallowing, or as directed by a healthcare professional. May be taken with or without food.
